Dr Sherwell is an outstanding GP, I feel I’m a difficult patient who has tried his patience in regards to finding me a painkiller that works well for me, he has gone beyond what I’m sure anybody else would have done, I’m almost embarrassed when I speak to him to say I’m having yet another issue or bad side effect from the medication but Dr Sherwell has always dealt with me in a very friendly and compassionate manner, as an ex nurse I can only say that he is the epitome of what one should expect from the wonderful NHS, sadly not as it once was but we ought to count ourselves very fortunate to not only have the NHS but Dr’s like Dr Sherwell.

I find the Dr welcoming, pleasant, professional, practical and good communication pitched at the layman’s level. He also has a sense of humour.

Wasn’t sure at first as Dr Sherwell was very different to my previous GP. Over time I have found him to be a good listener who is non judgmental. I don’t find it easy to discuss my health but He has given time to enable me to find the words to explain my issues.

What can I say about Dr Sherwell! He is just an amazing doctor, he has helped me to no end with his compassion, professionalism and understanding since my life changing accident in 2015. He has given so much support for nearly 3 years now and I can’t thank him enough. With Dr Sherwell’s support I would not be where I am today and that is a long way down the road of my recovery. He is thoughtful and quick thinking and will immediately come up with options . He will research if needed and solve the problem. His ego is not engaged at all. He is compassionate and friendly and has an innate ability to cut through to how he can help. Exactly what you need in a doctor.
