Very good active listening skills and certainly dealt with my concerns in a very professional manner. Pace of conversation was a little fast at times, but this suited my own medical requirements and indeed he encouraged my comments throughout this consultation. Would certainly recommend to others and my thanks to him for his honest appraisal and obvious concern for my condition.

Dr Targett is by far, the best GP I have met. Unfortunately for me, he's my Mums Doctor and not mine! Mum was transferred to his list recently and, having had a heart bypass op along with pacemaker & defibrillator fitted at another time, she was in bad shape. With the help of Dr Targett, the first time we met, he sifted through the appointments and letters and pin-pointed who and what was what, making everything much clearer. Further down the line, Mum has had all her tests and appointments and also had a nasty fall which knocked her for 6. We saw Dr Targett yesterday and, like our previous appointment, he had read her notes and was fully au fait with Mum and her health. He talks to Mum in such a way that makes her comfortable but not patronised. For my Mum, this is fantastic, as an ex District Nurse, Mum is somewhat sceptical. Mum trusts and respects him and knows he's there if needed. And, so do I!!

Every thing what was to be done to me was explained so that I understood. My questions were all answered in a way I understood. Should there be any problems after my treatment to go back. The doctor listened to me and I was very happy with the care I received.

Great doctor, listens to what you have to say. Looks into every option regarding issue. If he's not happy with something then he will look further into it with more testing. Also only doctor (emergency doctor) I saw while pregnant who took me seriously and went above and beyond for my care as I was vomiting blood, sent me straight to hospital and got me seen quickly. Others at the surgery had left me for 2 weeks as they believed it was just morning sickness. Others in the surgery need to show more compassion and listen to the patient rather than the patient being seen as a tick box case.
