I'm not blowing smoke here, I genuinely felt listened to by this doctor, and that doesn't happen all the time. Follow-up was encouraged if needed, a referral was made immediately, and I walked out with a suitable prescription. What more can a patient ask for?

First time meeting this doctor. A little brusque initially, but since he doesn't know me that is forgivable, and I would rather that than be "soft soaped". He listened to my symptoms, made an examination, and was able to reassure me that my URTI would get better and would not require antibiotics. Perhaps he could know a little more about the patient before the consultation - the anxiety and depression issues raised with the surgery some time ago. I would be happy to see him again.

I have consulted Dr Chris Targett at Presteigne and been for a second visit to receive an injection. Frankly he is a breath of fresh air, very communicative, and is a reason to rely on the medical profession again (after a period of finding it extremely difficult to see a GP or avoid seeing a less qualified or able 'medical practitioner' who didn't actually know what he was talking about). Thank you Shropdoc for introducing sensible and valuable professionals.
