Very down to earth man who cares about patient and takes time to talk and listen
I was pretty nervous about having my knee replacement with a spinal block anaesthesia instead of a general anaesthetic.
Dr Kidd spent some time reassuring me as well as explaining what I would experience. He has a warm and friendly manner which put me at ease. When the time came, I could only remember exactly what he said I would be able to and had no recollection of the spinal block or the operation itself.
Dr Kidd continued to review my progress during my stay in hospital.
This experienced and humorous anaesthetist had the misfortune to have to come in late Friday evening to re anaesthetise me as my breast drain was leaking more than 900 ml. I was so pleased to know it was him coming back in , but certainly fudn’t Expect it. Despite eating just over 3 hours previously , the anaesthetic went well and the harmatoma was sorted. Dr Kidd came back in to see how I was the following morning, a Saturday and he was not working that day. I have great confidence in him and hope he continues to provide the excellent service for more years to come .
He has outside interests as well which makes him a rounded character .
Dr Kidd is an experienced , professional with excellent people skills and treats the patient as an individual. He listens, offers advise and acts upon it. I was put at my ease and pleased to see the positive interaction with his colleagues. Thank you for being my anaesthetist.hopefully , my son , a trainee anaesthetist can emulate him in the future
Reassuring introduction before operation with a lot of information. Painfree operation with proper sedation. He visited me every day after the operation.
I would have no hesitation in recommending him as a Consultant Anaesthetist.
