Dr Robin Jones has been outstanding. We first heard of him while living overseas through his good and widespread reputation. We consulted with him initially via skype. He is the only doctor I have ever known to do this and it is a sign of how approachable and relaxed he is. During consultations he listens to everyone's view and discusses all treatment aspects quite thoroughly. Not to mention with a colleague or student he may have brought into the meeting. His advice is always balanced, pragmatic and rounded. As the more mature among us might also add, his bedside manner is excellent. My case is tertiary care and I'm pretty sure unique. For surgical opinions and emergencies I remain under an excellent team in Oxford. For my clinical trial I was at another location. Despite this and more Dr Jones unhesitatingly took me on as an oncology patient. In 2018 he pulled a rabbit out of hat : he managed to create a one man clinical trial for me in London providing the same care as I had received elsewhere. If he were not an internationally known and respected sarcoma specialist it is doubtful that would have happened. This has been an immense relief for mind, body and wallet and my family and I are very grateful to him. Robin is always looking for the next steps forward with optimism and many possibilities for further treatment have been aired. I recommend Robin Jones without hesitation or reservation.
