Mr Aziz advised me and my wife in January very candidly about the benefits of having the operation, allowing me plenty of time to decide - in conjunction with questions we asked over the following weeks. At pre-op I was given a private health room, a nice introduction; I was impressed by the Anesthetist team, the critical care unit team and then by the nursing/ physio teams over my week's stay in hospital; there was one observation I had about the general nursing care in that it seemed task focused rather than total patient care, but I can understand that this might be unfeasible with NHS resourcing. The times I have met with Mr Aziz directly have given me cause to have a good reflection of the surgeons and other medics associated with The Christie.
