After feeling I was being pushed from pillar to post - no one taking responsibility for me on discovering both a recurrence and another cancer at the same time I was placed under the care of Dr Assiz. I was informed that he was one of the best consultants that I could have at the Christie. Previously, before my initial consultation I had been informed that there was a possibility that I would have palliative care and tumours would not be resected. Thankfully Mr Assiz operated and everything was successfullly removed and I cannot praise him enough. I feel he hides no information and tells you all he can. The choice of whether and when to have surgery was left to me which was highly apprecoated. Hope follow up care is fully explained to me on a continual 6 monthly basis and even if there is no sign of recurrence I continue to receive good care and that I am treated as an individual.
