Delighted with the outcome. Mr Quaraishi was very thorough and explored an alternative solution to surgery.

Mr Quraishi from the 1st meeting to being discharged made my care, expectations and outcomes extremely clear, he took time to understand me personally what I wanted from the surgery. He was interested to learn about my personal, family life, activities I participate in and was able to advise on the necessary treatment plan to make a full active lifestyle a reality again. The plan we agreed on was a surgery to fix a prolapsed disc, I am now at the 6 month mark in my recovery and my life is 100% back to pre-injury. In a nutshell, he’s compassionate, puts in the time and the results speak for themselves.

Professor Quraishi has performed two procedures on my back for two different issues over the past 5 years. Both issues were severely restricting to my day to day life and both were totally cleared by Nasir allowing me to go back to a normal life. I am now quite clearly biased but have 100% confidence in his abilities and would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him.

Prof Quraishi first diagnosed that I had two bulging discs in my neck in early 2019 at BMI The Park hospital. From that point, he clearly explained the options that were open to me but never pushed me towards one more than the other - any treatment was totally my choice. After receiving a series of physiotherapy treatment, I was scanned again and reassessed where it was realised that the discs had not reduced and were now unlikely to improve further. I did still then go on to have two separate nerve-block injections, always discussed and supported by Prof Quraishi before I reached the point where I felt surgery was necessary. Prof Quraishi agreed and set the process in motion but still advising me that I could change my mind if I decided not to go ahead. When a provisional date for surgery at The Park was later discovered not to be possible, he transferred me to The Spire Nottingham where I underwent the procedure to remove the two discs in April 2022. By this point, I had moved away from the Nottingham area but because of the trust I had built with Prof Quraishi, my husband and I made the two hour journey so that I could have this surgery conducted by him.

I had three previous surgical procedures by other surgeons including two fusions one of which was not performed well and left me with worsened symptoms When my symptoms further worsened I was referred to Prof Quraishi for advice and treatment. Prof Quraishi quickly identified the problem and began firstly with conservative interventions, which had never been offered to me before. Unfortunately my symptoms worsened again and Prof Quraishi performed a spinal decompression which went smoothly and I was home the next day Prof Quraishi was the first surgeon to refer me for a course of physio therapy which was a revelation I’m please to say that I am now pain free and no longer need the co codamol or gabapentin that I used extensively for 7 years and life is normal Without question Prof Quraishi changed my life after a very depressingly long period of failed interventions by others I would have no hesitation in referring myself back to Prof Quraishi should the need arise and happily recommend him to others Thank you Prof Quraishi
