Would I recommend Dr Tahmina Pearsall? 100% I had been considering lens replacement for a while but was hesitant due to the complexity of my prescription. However, Dr Pearsall was able to allay my fears during our very first consultation. She was kind, caring, patient and listened to all my concerns but above all she is extremely knowledgeable and skilled.Despite being very busy she made time to personally call and check-in both before and after surgery and this was very much appreciated. The procedure itself was quick and entirely painless. The day after my surgery I could see far better than I ever did when wearing glasses or contact lenses. I could read small print and the detail I could see at distance blew me away. It feels incredible to see this clearly! If you are looking for the absolute best care and results for your eyes then I highly recommend you reach out to Dr Pearsall and her team.

I am so delighted to have seen Dr Tahmina Pearsall today , after over a year of seeing different optometrist I finally feel very happy that at last my eye sight will be corrected on my next visit . Dr Tahmina Pearsall was very professional and quick to see what was causing my blurred vision I couldn't recommend this lovely lady more highly.

I had my lenses replaced by Tahmina yesterday 25th March 2026. She listened to exactly what I wanted out of my eyes and recommended the multifocal. I really don’t like wearing glasses or contacts. I'm so pleased I went with her choice. I had my follow up checks this morning and my vision is already 20/20. She is such a good surgeon, I would recommend her to anyone. Minimal discomfort during the procedure, which is to be expected. Slightly sore for a few hours afterwards. I woke this morning, completely pain free to a bright, crisp new world. I'm extremely grateful I had Tahmina for my procedure.

Very bad experience with Ms Pearsall in Southampton on 09/02/2026. Blunt to the point of rudeness. Made a very odd, inappropriate comment to me. Very rough handling of my face and head. Left the surgery room after my first eye was completed. My face was completely covered in preparation for my second eye so I could see nothing. I could only hear nurses near me questioning where she had gone. They sounded agitated as time went on. I cannot recommend Ms Pearsall to anyone. I am still awaiting a response from Optical Express regarding my treatment. I was the third person that day to complain in this clinic about this surgeon .

Terrible experience at Optical Express Southampton and my surgery was before 11 am on a Monday so I don’t think it was a case the doctor had treated dozens of patients already that day. Blunt to the point of rudeness. Hurt my face during cataract surgery and tutted at me when I pointed this out. Disappeared between treating my eyes and I could hear other staff querying where she had gone. Not great when your face is covered and no one tells you what is happening. So far I’m disappointed with the results of my surgery but that may improve. My experience at the clinic was both disappointing and upsetting and I was told I was one of three patients who gave negative feedback ( which was asked for) at the follow up appointment.

I saw Ms Pearsall on the 5-7-25 at 13:30 having been referred via Spamedica and my GP for a thorough examination due to a specific problem. The consulting room door was left open. On entry I was ordered to sit over there (not adjacent to her desk). I am 80 years old with hearing aids and approached the wrong chair whereupon she shouted NOT THERE. OVER THERE! Whilst standing and facing her computer with her back to me she started asking the usual questions never looking me. By the fourth question I asked her if she could look at me whilst communicating. She sharply turned around and very rudely shouted a great tirade about how busy she was and continued to effectively put me down. My wife and others sitting outside five metres away heard the whole commotion. She acted in a completely unprofessional manner towards me. Obviously I will request a different consultant next time.

This Doctor is such a kind caring person. Nothing is too much for her and always explains everything so clearly. She was the only Doctor that would operate 9n my Husband Dave right eye because his Optic Nerve does not work.anymore. She put Dave at ease and was just so very kind to him also me. Dave has just had his second Cataract in his left eye done which has mad a great difference to him seeing better even after only 24 hours. Dave is registered Partsially Sighted. I can't thank Ms Pearsall and her team enough .Dave will always be grateful to her.

I attended Tahmina Pearsall in Kingsbridge Private Hospital, Belfast for a Cataract procedure last year. I found her to be utterly professional, interested in her job and excellent at it. I feel I was very lucky to have had Ms Pearsall as my Consultant for the procedure. I had the utmost confidence in her, which proved to be well founded on the day. I would highly recommend Ms. Pearsall to any other patient attending for a procedure. She just seemed to take anything in her stride and get on with it.
