Mr Zameer Shah, Surgeon, performed a complete hip replacement at Guys Hospital on 15 October 2016. The result has been a complete success. I left hospital with heavy painkillers but had stopped using them by the third week as the pain was a lot less than it had been before the operation. Six weeks later I am walking normally, only getting a bit of an ache after an hour or so, but this improves daily. I do not need a stick nor am I limping. No restrictions were imposed on activity on leaving the hospital - except not to do the can-can ! Mr Shah has a great reputation in the hospital and from my experience it is fully justified and I can only thank him for doing such a good job..
