Having recently undergone a knee replacement, which was carried out by Dr. Shah, I am extremely pleased with the care, service and treatment I have received before, during and after the procedure. I had been thoroughly informed and educated before the surgery during a pre-op consultation, which I attended with my daughter in January. During this consultation, I was well informed of everything that would occur both during and after the surgery. This included a great deal of information and support by not only Dr. Shah, but also the occupational therapy team. Once been admitted for the procedure in March, despite being apprehensive and nervous, I felt extremely comforted and reassured. The recovery process whilst staying in the hospital was made extremely comfortable and easy due to the excellent team of nurses and staff present on the ward. Furthermore, I was consistently cared for and kept informed of my recovery status and the progress that I was making. After staying on the ward for a week, I was able to return home with crutches. Recovering at home was made more assuring and comfortable due to the fact that I was attending physiotherapy sessions at my local general hospital, St. Richards Hospital. After 5 weeks of recovery, I was delighted once I was informed I would be able to drive again. Overall, I cannot praise the procedure and the team highly enough. I have been extremely happy with the service and care that I have received during this process. I look forward to the future with my new, comfortable and efficient new knee replacement.
