I first saw Mr Chang when I was losing weight rapidly and had lost my appetite and sense of taste. Mr Chang assured me that this was unlikely to be as a result of my previous Covid but he was concerned about a more serious cause. He arranged for me to be referred to St George's Hospital for a mesenteric angiogram that showed that the two main arteries to my stomach/ intestine area were blocked and the third alternative artery was furring up. Within five days I had an operation to install a stent to reconnect my blood supply. Since then I have recovered the weight that I had lost and my sense of taste has returned. I believe that I owe my life to Mr Cheng who listened to my issues and used his considerable knowledge and experience to effect my recovery.
