I met Sunil in April 2016 at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood. My problem was a dislocated collar bone which happened ironically as a result of a previous shoulder operation (at a different hospital). I had gone in for a subacromical decompression and came out with a collar bone poking through my shoulder. Figure that. Anyhow, putting thr mystery to one side, I was not prepared to have further treatment at the original hospital and was recommended to see Sunil Auplish. What an excellent recommendation. It was fairly obvious as to what my issue was and having discussed my condition (what had been done before, current level of pain etc) with Sunil, he advised that the best treatment was an operation called LARS ACJ. He went through in detail what it would mean, how he would action it and what I would feel like immediately after the operation and then post op care. He left nothing out. Answered every question I had, even the most basic ones. I never found him rushing me, always attentive and returning maximum patient care. It is now almost 4 months after the operation and I believe I have between 90-95% movement back. I could barely move my shoulder before. I am now training again in the gym, albeit carefully but I expect to be back to my fitness level within 6 months. I cannot thank Sunil enough for his skills firstmost as a surgeon, and secondly for his attentive care, compassion and empathy when I needed it. A top bloke and also has a great sense of humour too. Multi-skilled in the playing an instrument field so you can be safe in the knowledge that he has super dexterous fingers for his surgical committments. Thank you Sunil. Very bests Jerry O'Connell
