I am nearly six weeks in from a total knee replacement which was carried out by Mr Alazzawi. From the outset he has been fantastic. He was an excellent listener, spelt out the pros and cons of the operation without 'rushing' - given the pressures the NHS is under this was no mean feat as it gives patients confidence. On the op day itself, Mr Alazzawi and his wonderful team could not have been kinder nor more supportive; even managing, depite my nerves, to make me laugh. I am extremely grateful to Mr Alazzawi for my new knee and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in warmly recommending him to anyone reading this considering a similar op.You will be in the best possible hands.

I met Mr Alazzawi after my consultant was called away. I was anxious at first, however in July 2020, I met Mr Alazzawi at St Georges Hospital, London. During my appointment he explained what would happen during the surgery (Total Knee Replacement) to my right knee and the realistic expectations afterwards. Throughout, he was professional and reassuring. In August 2020, I arrived at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre, Epsom and met with Mr Alazzawi, who answered all my questions and reassured me. Due to Covid restrictions, I could not meet with Mr Alazzawi, however I had a telephone consultation, during which he ensured I had his e-mail address and his secretary’s telephone number in case I had any concerns. In March 2021, I met with Mr Alazzawi at St Georges Hospital, who after studying the post op x-ray was happy with everything and the progress I was making. He then raised concerns regarding the left knee and after studying an Xray, believed it would be in my best interest to have the same procedure to my left knee. In June 2021 I underwent a Total Knee Replacement to my left knee and again Mr Alazzawi was reassuring and compassionate. However, after being released and the dressing was removed, there was some discharge to the wound, I contacted Mr Alazzawi directly who reassured my it was nothing to be concerned about but said I could visit him that same day if I was concerned and he would look at it, always willing to go that extra mile. I met with Mt Alazzawi face to face in July 2020, who was pleased with the wound and the progress so far, however said that due to previous injuries to the knee, I would have to work extra hard on regaining the movement and discussed some exercise that would help. To date I feel that both operations have been a success and have transformed my life, allowing me to walk with my family and regain my life. I would like to express my thanks to Mr Alazzawi.

Hi My name Dariusz Kargul,I from Poland and hard working in construction company. I had many years problem with pain my knees.I was very afraid of the knee surgery because I heard that it hurts a lot after the surgery and it takes a long time to heal. Unfortunately, because I was a rugby player when I was young, the knee pain has recently been very strong. Following the surgery and after the post op x-ray, Mr Alazzawi came to visit me and said that he had studied the post-op x-ray and all was well.I saw Mr Alazzawi in person at St George's at 6 week stage. He was pleased with the progress I had made with the recovery. I could walk without the crutches and he was pleased with that. He physically examined my operated knee and we discussed some of the exercises that would help me at mid-stage recovery period. The doctor has completely brought me back to normal functioning, I can work now and I don't feel any pain. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr Alazzawi for carrying out the total knee replacement surgery on my left knee and for his great care during the difficult period of recovery. I feel that I've been extremely fortunate to have met Dr Sulaiman -alazzawi, I had suffered for a considerable time with a hip problem, and had exhausted the process of physiotherapy After examining my ex-ray and consulting with me Dr Alazzawi informed me that both my hips needed replacing, and this was evident by the manner in which I walked and the considerable pain I was suffering Dr Alazzawi was astute in recognising that due to my physical condition i would benefit by having both hips replaced at the same time To date the operation has been a complete success and has transformed my life, Dr Alazzawi care and professional manner gave me confidence to undergo such a major operation and carryout the post-op exercises I would like to express my sincere thanks gratitude to Dr Alazzawi and the NHS

Sulaiman Alazzawi is an excellent colleague with very good knowledge and expertise in complex hip and knee arthroplasty including revision arthroplasty surgery. Sulaiman is a great asset to the South West London revision network where he helps his colleague to make shared decisions on complex cases.
