I saw Mr Corbett for a second opinion following previous surgery to my right shoulder that had not improved my condition.
Mr Corbett was very open minded in his diagnostic approach and spent 40 minutes with me in his NHS clinic, which was way beyond the call of duty, in my opinion.
Mr Corbett agreed to do an exploratory operation to better understand my condition, which would likely be followed by revision surgery. Because of my long history, he didn't want to risk doing anything that might make me worse without having seen the inside of my shoulder for himself. His dilligent approach was reassuring.
In the end I selected a different surgeon who made a more conclusive diagnosis and would do the work in one procedure.
