Simon & his team were excellent & very professional, exceeding my expections for care and treatment, both pre Op & post Op.

I was more than pleased to find that Mr Simon Monkhouse held a private surgery at Gatwick Spires, as I had heard many great reviews and recommendations from people who he had helped. He is very understanding and explains the procedure in a language that is easy to understand. On the day of the surgery, I was seen by him and his Anaesthetist colleague who were so re assuring, professional and friendly. I cannot thank them enough, l am now free of pain and able to resume normal life again. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Simon Monkhouse and his team who were brilliant!

Very impressed with Simon Monkhouse. Efficient and understanding in his diagnosis of my medical problem, able to fit in to my preferred timescales for treatment, happy to respond to queries by email, and the end result has been perfect.

I am very pleased with the total service received from Mr Monkhouse and his team. My Inguinal hernia repair operation was carried out at Spire Gatwick Park Hospital. I had a gastric bypass with Simon on 14/05/24, and it was the first surgery of my adult life, so I was extremely nervous. On the day of arriving for my surgery, Simon came to see me and explained exactly how the procedure would work, and talked me through any concerns that I had. He was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and really added a personal touch to the whole experience. My surgical scars are so neat and I cannot fault his expertise and ability in his field. Simon again came to see me after surgery and just checked in on how I was doing, and informed me of how the surgery went, and I genuinely appreciated this so much. The care and attention that I received whilst I was in hospital for 2 nights was faultless, and I genuinely cannot recommend Simon & his team enough. He keeps in touch after surgery, and is active on social media and likes to follow his patients journeys, which I find extremely refreshing and down-to-earth. Thank you so much to Simon, Molly & the entire team for all that you do, and have done for me. I owe you everything for giving me this new chance at life.

Simon is an fantastic surgeon who is highly skilled at his craft and executes with exceptional level of quality. Great bedside temperament, and listens. My experience with Mr Monkhouse and his team has been exceptional. From the initial consultation for the Allurion balloon, Mr Monkhouse provided an holistic and personalised care approach. He used terminology which I fully understood and managed my expectations allowing me to make an informed decision without any pressure. On the lead up to insertion all the instructions and medications were delivered to my house promptly and it was very clear when to start taking each of the medications and what they were for. The procedure itself was straightforward and without any complications. Mr Monkhouse went over the aftercare with me and what I could expect over the next coming days. My experience under Mr Monkhouse’s care has been excellent from start to post Allurion balloon and I highly recommend him and his team. The Supportive aftercare has been exemplary, I had a few questions/issues that I emailed him about and I Each time I had very timely responses with reassuring and helpful answers and solutions.
