I was very depressed when I visited Mr Lambert but left feeling a miracle had occurred. He was so positive. Explained everything very carefully to me. Listened attentively to my problems. Gave me great hope for the "repair" of my elbow. I can truly say he is the best specialist I have seen in forty years.
I had a very satisfactory consultation with Mr Lambert at Spire, Bushey. He immediately put me at ease, listened to what I was saying regarding the history & symptoms of my shoulder and carried out a thorough examination. I was sent for an X- ray which was done very quickly and we were then able to see & discuss. I hope that further investigation that he recommended will lead to effective management.
I was disappointed at having to wait over 7 weeks for an appointment but this must be a reflection of how popular this excellent and lovely doctor is!
I saw Mr.Lambert at Spire Bushey Hospital earlier this month (November) about my very painful elbow. My husband attended with me and we were both impressed by Mr.Lambert's kind and caring manner. He took so much time to explain my MRI and examination of my elbow. If I do need to have surgery - I will have the utmost confidence in Mr.Lambert.
I have seen Mr Lambert in clinic on a number of occasions over the last 2 years, both at Spire Bushey and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. Mr Lambert also operated on my shoulder in November 2013.
Both myself and my wife believe Mr Lambert's clinical acumen to be outstanding and his manner with patients and families to be very reassuring. He takes time to explain the rationale behind his clinical impressions and ensures that his points are fully understood.
I have the utmost faith in Mr Lambert's care and recommend his clinical practice unreservedly.
A very approachable and understanding doctor who has been able to give my daughter her smile back! Thank you

Profile
I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
