Without the skills of Mr Simon lambert I would not have been able to use my arms again. I was misdiagnosed at another hospital and told there was nothing that could be done. How wrong they were as Mr lambert put there mess right. I owe my life to this man.

Please refer to my initial story on page no 10 dated 25th May 2015 and rest is below, I don't have words that how to express my feelings for Dr Simon Lambert because he operated my right elbow firstly on 3rd May 2016 for hemiarthroplasty and secondly on 5th July 2016 for ligaments reconstruction and 13 Dec 2016 I am discharged from physio. I have got my hand back which i was dreaming for last 10 years and i am very very pleased to say that i didn't feel a pain even for an hour since operated. I am very confident on his skill set and how nicely he treated me is unbelievable. Further i would say whilst my stay in RNOH at Stanmore i experienced all his staff and patients are too happy and satisfied from his services. I want everyone how has got elbow and shoulder issues please must visit him and I am 100% sure you would get a very good solution like i have seen others. My hand is even working better than expected mobility, My hand movement is from 0 degree to 130 degree which is not normally possible after such operations. I am always praying for Dr Simon Lambert and his family's long life and good health. Waheed Alam Khan.

Simon Lambert was incredibly caring, understanding and knowledgeable. He totally understood my problem instantly and was very helpful, would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

6 years ago I had a skiing accident in France and although I was operated on there, 3 months later Mr Lambert had to operate to remove the rods in my arm. Unfortunately I now have a further problem with the arm and although Mr Lambert is no longer covered by my insurance company, I went to see him for a second opinion as he is an incredible doctor, whose opinion I really value. He is kind and very caring and addresses any worries you may have and now, having gone to see him, I will be having further surgery soon. I would recommend anyone with shoulder problems to go and see him.

Profile

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
