Listens what you have to say. Discusses all options. Gives pros and cons of suggested procedure. Seems extremely knowledgeable.

I've been searching for an answer on my shoulder problem for many many years which has caused me a lot of excruciating headaches and uncomfortable shoulder pain. I have been misdiagnosed by plenty of doctors, physiotherapists including emotional issues and other various things that left me going around in endless circles and not a single solution in sight. After having seen Mr. Lambert, I feel like I am in good hands already with his kind character and not to mention, his extensive knowledge in his field. I believe when you go and see a doctor, it is important for them to be knowledgeable but also understanding of your problem and pay attention to your side of the story. That said, I can assure you Mr. Lambert has exactly the capabilities and professionalism you want, which is why I would highly recommend him.

I cannot think of any way in which care under Mr Lambert could possibly be improved. I trust his surgical skills completely. He is a true gentleman who gives his patients time, explanation and great confidence. He is genuinely kind and caring and I would recommend him unreservedly .

Mr. Lambert went through my MRI with my husband and myself explaining everything very carefully. We came away reassured that he thoroughly understood what was wrong and we understood what had to be done. I found it refreshing that he didn’t automatically think us ignorant about the anatomy. Also, he realizes that we have many more years of activity—we hope!

I've been searching for an answer on my shoulder problem for many many years which has caused me a lot of excruciating headaches and uncomfortable shoulder pain with no serious injury at 24 years old . I have been misdiagnosed by plenty of doctors/physiotherapists including emotional issues and other various things that left me going around in endless circles and not a single solution in sight. As you can imagine, this took its toll and i was frustrated and very disheartened by it all! After having seeing Dr Lambert only twice, I feel like i am in good hands already with his kind character and not to mention, his extensive knowledge in his field. Dr Lambert managed to figure out the route of the problem and I'm already on course for getting treatment to hopefully resolve the issue. I believe when you go and see a doctor, it is important for them to be knowledgeable but also understanding of your problem and pay attention to your side of the story. That said, I can assure you Dr.Lambert has exactly the capabilities and professionalism you want, which is why I would highly recommend him! So i thank you for giving me some closure towards this and i look forward to my treatment to get my shoulder healthy and stable again.

Profile

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a special interest in the shoulder and elbow. I also hold an honorary academic appointment within University College London. Having worked at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH), a specialist orthopaedic hospital, where I created a research-active, educationally-acclaimed, science-based service, integrated with and recognising the extreme importance of expert rehabilitation, I have now moved to University College London Hospital. We enjoy a national reputation for clinical excellence and clinical research, which I fully expect to contribute to over the next decade. We value our national and international collaborations, and expect to develop these further with the evolution of the service. As a component of this effort my work with the AO has offered opportunities to younger colleagues while bringing the values of the AO to a wide variety of surgeons and therapists. Truly international collaboration and exchange of ideas clearly enhances and promotes the efficacy of patient-directed care and forms the basis for the motivation behind my development of the shoulder and elbow service at UCLH.
