On the 30th May I had a consultation for a 2nd opinion with Mr Simon Lambert regarding a shoulder injury. It's such a relief to come under the expert care of a surgeon who is from the start, genuinely concerned and compassionate towards your pain. He listened at length to my symptoms, examined my shoulder and spent time to explain the scans. He made sure I understood the problems and importantly what could be done to fix them. Basically a true professional, as a patient you couldn't ask for any more. I was already aware of Mr Lambert's skill as a surgeon when I was fortunate to come under his care some 18 years ago following a sports injury to my Bicep/ shoulder. It was a difficult fix after numerous unavoidable delays, in the end requiring a reconstruction operation. I was, and still am extremely grateful to Mr Lambert for the care and dedication he showed then to get me back to full fitness, he realised he wasn't just dealing with the physical scars and that means a lot ! .
