I was referred to Mr. Lambert many years ago after breaking pretty much every bone in my body, both my arms were broken badly with some compound fractured that left me with somewhat of a "claw left arm", i hadn't touched my face for years, Mr.Lambert tried a new operation on me and he reconstructed my elbow , i wish i could post the picture of me when i reached up to my face with my left hand and i couldn't actually finish saying thank you to him (the morphine didn't help). Then when i went for my check up since having the external fixation removed i asked him about my right arm (which had a 6" plate in) and he new there was a big problem as i could over rotate it abnormally , then the discussion of a big operation with the high risk of paralysis took place and so we decided to go small first with the shoulder (secondary problem due to the arm not being aligned properly ) .That was in 0ct.2013. I might have to see him again soon as the shoulder is starting to hurt again and even though these things hurt a lot, surgeries, injections, splints, rehabilitation etc, the thing that makes a huge difference is a Surgeon like Mr. Lambert, his humble yet reassuring presence, gentle with the hard truth but honest throughout , for someone to have achieved what he has in an extremely competitive arena and not losing sight of his patients best interests as well as his good character is an achievement in itself. May God keep this good man well. Marta Gil Vaz
