I attended Mr Simon Lambert's clinic for advice on a diagnosis of polymyalgia rheumatica and the recommended use of steroids about which I was uneasy. Mr Lambert put me through several visual tests and concluded that I do not have 'frozen shoulder' , nor degenerative arthritis in either joint, and concluded that my problem might have been caused by some intensive exercise in the gym I had been taking. He recommended repeating the blood tests I had taken and a special referral to physiotherapy and said that he shared my reservations about going onto steroids.
