Regrettably, I didn't have a very nice experience with this Surgeon. Mr Lambert came highly recommended by a number of people as I had a four-year history of a shoulder problem following an injury and previous surgery that had given little benifit. After examining me and reviewing my previous scans, Mr Lambert proposed an open rotator cuff repair. This was done a few weeks later. The recovery proved very painful, although I was able to get reasonable movement back. When I returned to Mr Lambert four months after surgery in no less pain, he examined me, said it was unlikely the repair had failed and proposed I give it more time. He did prescribe an ultrasound exam and a diagnostic injection, but these took another three months to materialise. Whilst the ultrasound report suggested continued abmornality and the possibility of tearing, the letter back to my GP from Mr Lambert stated that the ultrasound had been reassuring and there was nothing significant to worry about. Meanwhile I was left in some of the worst pain of my life. I have since sought help elsewhere and have had further revision surgery. This surgeon's conclusion was that Mr Lambert's repair had indeed failed. He had also overlooked a significant labral tear that was causing noticable instability of my shoulder joint. This has now been repaired. I short, I found Mr Lambert very aimiable before surgery, but afterwards when things were obvioulsy not right, it was a very different story.
