Our 3 year old son had over a year of breathing difficulties with asthma like symptoms, which on several occasions resulted in hospital stays, having to receive steroids and nebulizers. We were given a avamys steroid nasal spray which improved symptoms but when he had a cold it still required 6 -10 puffs of an inhaler every 4 hours. Then we had a consultation with Dr Khemani. Dr Khemani within minutes knew the cause and upon examination diagnosed our son of having enlarged adenoids and tonsils. We were subsequently booked in for a Intatracapsular Coblation Tonsillectomy (Tonsillotomy) and Coblation Adenoidectomy at a date of our choosing. He was first in to have the procedure and back within 90 minutes. Within 120 minutes he was eating crisps and laughing. After his surgery's both the anesthesiologist and Dr Khemani personally came to check on our Son, and came back at the end of the day to check on his progress. Within 3 days our son was eating as normal and back to himself. The difference now is marked. He used to snore, you now have to put your ear to his mouth to hear him breathing. He used to stop breathing at night (sleep apnea) he now no longer does that. He now (5 months later) hasn't required his inhaler at all, even when he's had a cold or has been unwell. He also used to look very pale, with almost purple like rings under his eyes. He is now full of colour with at times rosy cheeks. He also has much more energy now. So if you're reading this review worrying about your child with similar symptoms. And their needing to have a adenotonsillectomy (and we were) then don't hesitate because the difference it has made to our son is quite frankly remarkable. The treatment we received from Dr Khemani and his team was first class and the end result even better.
