From the initial consultation to the follow-up to review the surgery Mr Saad El Ashry was superb in every possible way. He listened carefully to the problems regarding my left elbow cubitaltunnel compression and understood that it was somewhat distressing for me not to be able to play the piano due to lack of sensitivity in my left hand little finger (as a music teacher for over 36 years it has been hard not to be able to play properly even if I am now retired). He also showed concern at the length of time I had been experiencing my left hand problem. He explained carefully what the surgery involved and that it could take a long time for the nerve to repair itself and that this recovery may not happen. I was amazed that shortly after the initial consultation I received a call inviting me to go for surgery due to a cancellation and Mr Saad El Ashry had remembered that I was struggling and slotted me in! I was so very grateful for this and touched that in amongst all of his many patients he had remembered me and invited me for this surgery so quickly. I think he must have worked some kind of magic in the operation as I suffered minimal pain, little swelling and he was very pleased with how things looked when I had my follow-up appointment today. He said that he was keen to fit me as quickly as possible so that my condition which also involved muscle wastage in my hand did not deteriorate further. I cannot praise him enough, not only his tremendous surgical skills but also his compassion and care. Thank you so much and I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Saad El Ashry in every respect.
