From the first consultation of our little one, we were really impressed by his warm, empathetic, caring, respectful and very professional approach. As we were very worried as parents, Mr Hone not only thoroughly examined our son with great care listening carefully to all of his symptoms but also reassured us that everything will be ok. He gave us lots of explanation and help us to choose the best option for surgery. He followed up with us to see our son’s progress and outcomes of surgery. We felt that he really cares about our son’s wellbeing. We, as parents, cannot find the right words to say how much we appreciate everything he done, we remain forever grateful and highly recommend him.

First visit to Mr Hone yesterday. My appointment ran to time and Mr Hone was friendly and put me at ease. He was very thorough and took time to talk me through what he thought my problem. I would recommend Mr Hone to anyone needing an ENT Consultant

Robert Hone is a Consultant ENT surgeon at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and has over 10 years surgical experience. He trained throughout South East England, rotating through ENT units in London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
He undertook a prestigious, nationally appointed Advanced Head & Neck Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead. He completed his paediatric ENT training at Great Ormond Street Hospital for children. During training, he completed a Masters of Surgery, for which he attained a Distinction as well as all necessary post graduate exams. He qualified from Guy’s, Kings and St Thomas’ Hospital School of medicine in 2008 and completed an intercalated Batchelor of Science degree in Physiology in 2005.
Robert Hone believes in the highest standard of care and places patients at the centre of the consultation and decision making process. He takes time to listen and explore patients concerns and symptoms via a thorough history and examination.
