Following a consultation with Mr Heaton and an arthroscopy in May it was identified I needed a TKR of the right knee. I thought this was a bit severe being only 54 years young, but Mr Heaton went out of his way to fully explain the benefits of having this surgery now and not later. I went in for surgery on the 8th December 2018 and having only spent two days in the Fitzwilliam was released to recuperate at home. Recovery is going well with little post-op pain and a surprising amount of movement in the first week. Mr Heaton did visit the day after the surgery and explained to me and my wife how bad the knee had been and the success of the operation. Mr Heatons whole patient manner is exemplary, a credit to the work he and his team complete.

He is very understanding and I would still be waiting for my operation if it had not been for him get me accepted for the operation as my bmi was to high. A great doctor and hope if/when I need my other knee sorting he will be available to do it for me.
