I first saw Mr Heaton at Boston west hospital. I had been referred by my GP after suffering a lot of pain for years in my right need. At this point it was stopping me doing things I enjoy, walking and swimming. I had a thorough examination and scans etc. Mr Heaton recommended a right knee replacement and showed me the xray and scan. Very soon after I got an appointment to have the operation done. I felt at ease as Mr Heaton has a calming approach. I had researched him online and read that he is a prominent athlete. I chose to have a spinal anaesthetic and was awake through out the procedure. At no time did I feel worried and time went very quickly. Mr Heaton approach was very professional so I had total confidence that things went ok. For an other reason I was moved to another hospital, Mr Heaton spoke to my daughter personally on the phone and once Inreturned he visited me a couple of time before discharging me. I had regular checks ups after and was discharged after 11 months. I am going to take his advice and keep fit by swimming, walking and maybe taking up golf again. I can only thank Mr Heaton for a job well done.

a little nervous before operation knowing that I had to undergo both knee replacements with six months between but Mr Heaton was very reassuring at all stages of the procedure, pre care was good at information and advice. Both the operations were scheduled and completed with no hitches, after care was very good, before discharge advice from both medial staff and physiotherapists very comprehensive and exercise sheets supplied and explained, all in all a very positive experience for both knee replacements. Within 6wks of both knee replacements I was able to walk with no pain and no pain relief. I know that sticking to the exercises helped me to get back to normality sooner than expected.

I was referred to Mr. Heaton as part of procedure following an XRay that identified I’d sustained a Fractured Neck Of Femur. Dr. Heaton fully explained the procedure to myself and made me feel at ease. Dr. Heaton is very professional and I highly recommend this Doctor as he is very knowledgeable and professional within his expertise and practice. An absolute asset to Pilgrim Hospital

I was made to feel at ease from the start. My Dr listened & answered any questions i had. I have had both total knee replacements this year. My hospital stay was very good, well looked after & no problems at all. I had a spinal block for both operations so i was awake but was made to feel relaxed and before i knew it the operation was over. I was seen before & after the operations by my Dr.
