I was diagnosed with breast cancer just as we went into lockdown. It was obviously a huge shock, and I went straight into a panic and anxiety mode. My first contact was with Michelle, Mr Thiruchelvam’s secretary. She has been great with me from the start. Always keeping me informed, very patient with me (and my hundreds of emails), always on top of all appointments, very professional. And what was the most important to me, very empathic. From the first meeting with Mr Thiruchelvam I felt safe and comfortable, which was a huge deal for me. He was very approachable. He reassured me through out, explained very clearly each step, especially the surgical procedure. It really helped with my anxiety, knowing that I’m in very good hands. He is a very genuine man. From the cosmetic aspect, together with Dr Daniel Leff, they've done an amazing job! The surgery went as planned, with no huge pain afterwards. The whole team at Harley Street has been amazing, from the security guard, my day nurse Nagat, to the night nurse Michiko. Nurse Lisa San Martin has been great in keeping me calm and sane when my surgery had to be postponed the first time, due to my high temperature. Very dedicated and efficient team. I was very well looked after. Awaiting 2 mastectomy, and knowing that Mr Thiruchelvam will be my surgeon again, I am less anxious. I trust him 100%. Thank you.
