When the consultant due to carry out my second total knee replacement operation had to cancel seven days before the appointment, I received a personal call from Mr El-Husseiny apprising me of this and offering to carry out the surgery two days later than the scheduled date. Mr El-Husseiny not only was endeavouring to fulfil some of his absent colleagues commitments, but also had to phone several times in order to get hold of me as my phone was on silent! Having made me the offer, I was then allowed some time to consider and Mr El-Husseiny then phoned back at the agreed time! I made an excellent decision in deciding to go ahead. When I arrived at the hospital, Mr El-Husseiny came and introduced himself and checked I was happy for him to proceed. He came to see me again when I came round from the operation. The best decision I ever made. The outcome has been excellent. Mr El-Husseiny's commitment and care of his patients is to be highly commended.
