Mr Banwell performed my Breast reconstruction Surgery, with a reduction to my other Breast, in November 2017, following a diagnosis of Breast Cancer. From the onset he treated me with respect and compassion, while being open and honest regarding expectations. He spoke earnestly without patronising, which at a very difficult time, where important, life changing decisions are needed, made the whole process a lot easier. Pre Surgery saw appointments with Mr Banwell himself and often he would be accompanied by Registrars whom he was happy to continually pass on his extensive knowledge to, to ensure the best possible outcomes, both Aesthetically and with minimal discomfort. Post Surgery and once again he visited me several times in person on the ward, with advice to myself and ward staff to make sure of a continued, speedy recovery. He has strict and different views regarding post surgery care to that of other patients under different consultants, however I am more that happy with the results and how my recovery has progressed. I do not feel I have been rushed off his books, and continue under his care for continuing minor treatment.
