Mr Cope was lovely very pleasant and easy to talk to and put me at ease . I felt he listened to me and answered all questions I had . . It was great that he showed me my pre and post op xrays and explained it all to me . I can't thank Mr Cope enough for getting rid of the horrible pain I was in he has given me my life back if I ever need my other hip replacing I will ask for him .
During my stay I was given excellent care all the staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The anaesthetist was brilliant and put me at ease as was his assistant
The only thing that would improve things for other patients who will have spinal is after surgery incontinence pads could be used . Because I couldn't feel when needed to pass urine I wet the bed which wad a little embarrassing even though nurse was very good about it . . .

Mr Cope is a lovely doctor. I feel he has given me back my life as I was in so much pain I could hardly walk. He explained everything before my hip operation and the aftercare has been great. I can't thank him enough.

After a hip replacement done by Mr Cope I didn’t hesitate to have my partial knee op done last July.Excellent care and information during whole of the operation.
Do as your physio tells you and you will have no problems post op.
Mr Cope is a friendly,approachable man who will explain everything for you.
I would recommend both him and his excellent team at Renacres to anyone considering hip or knee surgery.NHS patients are treated exactly the same as private.
Added bonus is the chefs excellent food!

Very friendly and approachable. Explained every step very clearly and listened to my concerns which he then reassured me and made me feel relaxed and confident in the treatment I was receiving.

Mr Cope surgery technique was very good! There was only a small scar with no clips or stitches. He was very professional at all times. The nursing staff were also excellent at all times! I would recommend Mr Cope to anyone who was considering hip replacement surgery. A good experience from start to finish!

I am a high volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, performing about 500 hips and knees a year. I have previously worked at Southport and Ormskirk DGH from 2007 to 2017 and was the Clinical Director for the last three years.
I now work full time in the private sector seeing NHS (choose and book patients) and private patients. My time is split between two hospitals in the Ramsay group.
I can be seen at Renacres Hall Hospital (Ormskirk and Southport) and Fulwood Hall Hospital (Preston).
