I chose Mr Cope to undertake my TKR surgery based on recommendation, particularly from my Wife, who has also benefited from his expertise in the past.
My treatment & care, whilst a patient of Mr Cope & his team at Renacres, has been of the highest order. From my initial Consultation to final discharge 12 months later, every step of the process was discussed with me in a straightforward, friendly & caring manner, leaving me totally at ease..
The operation has proved a total success, enabling me to get back out there, leading an active life once again. Thank you so much!

Mr. Cope demonstrated efficient and professional care in a very personable manner throughout my treatment and aftercare. His orthopaedic expertise is undoubted, reflected not least, in a very good outcome for myself following TKR. He listened carefully to any concerns I had about surgery and addressed them accordingly. He emphasised the importance of post op exercise and I can’t reiterate that enough. It is the essential complement to effective surgery to ensure the most positive outcome.

Mr Cope has done a great job. He is efficient and knowledgeable, making time to discuss and answer any questions that arise. The care from the whole team at the hospital was fantastic. A friendly and skilled anaesthetist plus attentive nurses and dedicated physios have combined to make a smooth and (even, on occasion) enjoyable experience.
Now, after less than two months post operation, the early results from a total hip replacement are already really encouraging. My whole posture has improved. I've recently cycled over 30 miles in one ride. And I'm walking with ease without the recurring back pain that prompted the surgery in the first place. This will make a huge difference to my quality of life, and I'm very grateful.

Mr. Cope is friendly, explains the treatment, shows the X-Rays, invites questions and doesn't waste time. His surgery has been entirely successful with no after effects.

I am a high volume hip and knee replacement surgeon, performing about 500 hips and knees a year. I have previously worked at Southport and Ormskirk DGH from 2007 to 2017 and was the Clinical Director for the last three years.
I now work full time in the private sector seeing NHS (choose and book patients) and private patients. My time is split between two hospitals in the Ramsay group.
I can be seen at Renacres Hall Hospital (Ormskirk and Southport) and Fulwood Hall Hospital (Preston).
