This has just been my second replacement hip operation performed by Mr Cope. I found him approachable and very well informed. He showed me x rays of my hip, where the cartilage was worn and told me what the new hip is made of and how long it should last. I now have a matching pair!! The operation went without a hitch and I left Renacres after 3 days of being really well looked after. Mr Cope has said that I can return to playing golf which I intend to do after having the operation 7 weeks ago. I am walking well and the scar can only just be seen. It's lovely to be pain free at last.

I was impressed with the way Dr cope made me feel at ease with the operation and how it would greatly improve my quality of life.I also liked his straightforward answers to my questions which made me feel more confident with the outcome of the operation and my recovery period. After 7 weeks I'm already walking without any pain and looking forward to doing the things I use to do before, I would highly recommend Dr cope to anyone for treatment.

From initial outpatient consultation, throughout hospital stay and surgery, to discharge following surgery, Mr Cope instilled confidence by his professional and knowledgeable manner. He investigated and identified the problem with my left hip and quickly listed me for total hip replacement surgery. He communicated effectively with me and the anesthetist worked closely with him to allay any concerns I had and I found this prevented any worries about the operation. The Nursing team at Fulwood Hall cared for me to an excellent standard? Mr Cope visited me after surgery to let me know that all had gone well and I found that very reassuring? My wound healed well and I had some pain immediately afterward but only needed painkillers for 2 weeks after. I have a neat scar on my left buttock. The extra bonus is that the scar cannot be seen when wearing a swimming costume or panties? At my outpatient, post operative appointments, he explained progress and answered my questions. Also, all my outpatient appointments were on time which was valuable. I returned to my work as a Nurse, 12 weeks after surgery and an free from pain. It's now over a year since I got my new hip and it is great. I would like to thank Mr Cope for his excellent treatment and recommend him to other patients.
