Reference my appointments with Mr Kaushal and his team from start to finish they have been nothing less than exceptional. Mr Kaushal is what patients dream about in doctor/surgeon, he is reasuring, compassionate and above all I beleive he really cares. For the repair of my fistualar/bowel removal and kindness throughout, Thank you very much. However, I am etremly sorry to inform you as an advocate of the NHS that I am a very hurt and dissapointed patitient with the care on your wards as an in-patient. The continuity of care is severly lacking In some serious cases the lack of it which could be life threatening. I inform you of this as contructive critisisim in hope it helps future patients. Mr Kaushal, you and your team are a credit to the NHS, thanks.

Mr Kaushal was extremely kind and approachable he explained everything thoroughly and also drew diagrams to show the various procedures available. He is a wonderful caring consultant who you can totally trust in every way. His professionalism in every aspect is outstanding and can be highly recommended.

Mr Kaushal is a kind, caring man and has a very special quality. He has empathy and listens to you. I will be forever grateful to him for my colon re-section after 11 years of suffering. I cannot make any constructive comments as the care was exceptional throughout my surgery and 5 days in hospital. Thank you Mr Kaushal and God Bless you always.

Having total confidence in Mr Kaushal made a huge difference to my diagnosis of rectal cancer last year. This confidence was there from my first consultation, due to his open and friendly manner and the time he spent explaining things in an honest but sensitive way. He summarised our consultations and drew pictures to clarify physiological points, which I was able to take away with me and this really helped me to absorb all the information in my own time afterwards. He took time to explain all of my treatment options and I always felt as though I had plenty of time to talk these through with him. He is very approachable and easy to talk to. I really felt as though I was in safe hands through surgery and follow up and trusted him implicitly. I could not have had a more positive experience. I must add that Mr Kaushal’s team of specialist colorectal nurses are amazing and also really supported me through this time.

My dad has been seen multiple times recently by Mr Kaushal. He is a lovely Dr who takes his time explaining things thoroughly. He is very approachable, professional and caring. I feel very reassured knowing that he is the person incharge of my dad's care. Thank you

Mr Kaushal is humble in his mannerisms and went out of his way to explain in detail, including hand sketches, of the type of bowel cancer I had and reassuring me of the way ahead. The surgery to remove the right side of my bowel was carried out on the 17th January 2022 followed by chemotherapy treatment and the latest CT scan of the 24th January 2024 identified no recurring cancer. I cannot thank Mr Kaushal enough and would also like to thank his team for taking care of me,especially colorectal nurse specialist Suannie Thompson for her kindness and pleasant manners in our face to face discussions and the way ahead.

I can’t speak high enough of Mr Kaushal , I was diagnosed with bowel cancer at the end of Nov 23 after suffering a long standing illness from ulcerative colitus. He is humble , caring and re-assured me as best he could. I can’t thank him , Suzanne and the rest of the team for taking care of me in December when I had my operation. These people are the true heroes of the world Nick

In December 2023 I was seen by Mr Kaushal at Furness General Hospital. He was most kind and treated me with a great deal of respect and empathy. He has a lovely ‘bedside manner’, is highly skilled and knowledgeable and goes the ‘extra mile’ to do his utmost to help patients.
