I am writing this review as a carer for my daughter who was under Mr. Attar's care. She was diagnosed with kidney stones two years ago and came into Mr. Attar's care a year ago. She has undergone several procedures at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, including a PCNL and a Ureteroscopy. I am a Anaesthetist nurse myself and I work in the maternity section in my hometown in Romania. I had come to London specifically to look after my daughter. While I have a basic understanding of the procedures she had undergone and I am familiar with how a hospital operates, it was very important for me to understand exactly what will happen before, during and after the procedures she has had. My english is good but not great. I relied heavily on Mr. Attar to explain everything to me. He is not only an exceptional medical professional but also a kind and patient man. He went through all the details with me as soon as he was out of the operating theatre. He took the time (out of his very busy schedule I am sure) to sit down with me and he did everything he could to reassure me and get me to understand everything. He has also exchanged e-mail addresses with my daughter and encouraged her to be in touch should she need to. I think this is a clear example of a doctor who truly cares for the well being of their patients and will go above and beyond to ensure this. Today I fly home and I leave with the certainty that my daughter is looked after properly. I can rest assured that she is recovering and will be healthy and happy again very soon. I can't thank Mr Attar enough for all that he has done for us, for putting up with my (very many) questions and for caring after my daughter's health.
