I was taken into Bolton Hospital via A & E and following investigations had a partial gastrectomy to remove a GIST tumour. This was an unplanned operation and my situation gradually became clear. Mr Varghese kept me well informed and made me feel at ease both pre and post surgery. He is a very talented surgeon and is a great communicator, clearly explaining the next steps and listening and answering any questions I had. I always felt safe under his care whilst in hospital and have appreciated the follow up appointments with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Varghese and can't thank him enough.
