Mr White carried out a total knee replacement for me in July 2022. Prior to that I had seen him in clinic to discuss my options. From the first time I met Mr White I was totally at ease and felt I was in the hands of a consummate professional. He is very engaging and personable and really makes you feel that he is passionate about his work and cares about you as an individual. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure he recommended and made sure I understood the potential negatives as well as the obvious benefits to me. He was completely honest about the expected timescales before my operation and as it happened he was completely spot on with the range of dates he gave me. On the day of my operation he came to see me in the ward and made a point of introducing the anaesthetist and other team members. It was clear he remembered me from our initial meeting some 4 months earlier. He also came to see me after the operation to explain what he had done and confirm that all had gone according to plan. He has a great bedside manner. I have seen him once more at a follow up appointment 8 months after my operation to discuss replacing my other knee. I have no real suggestions on how Mr White could improve as a surgeon as I think he is a fantastic individual. He was clearly pushed for time at the latest clinic I attended, but that just shows what a very busy man he is.
