Mr Deguara performed a laparoscopic fundoplication to repair a Hiatal Hernia. Throughout the diagnosis and subsequent follow up appointments Mr Deguara provided clear information and guidance on the condition and options for treatment. He was always happy to answer questions or to address concerns.
The surgery was carried out to a high standard at the New Victoria Hospital and my recovery was as outlined by Mr Deguara. The surgery was a success and I have been able to stop taking the previously prescribed medication.
I was a little surprised not to receive detailed post-operative nutritional guidance having had an operation on my stomach, but was able to access this information via the internet.
Overall, I was very happy with the treatment provided by Mr Deguara and the care provided at the New Victoria Hospital.
