I have recently undergone a complicated private Incisional Hernia Repair operation under general anaesthetic at the Spire Hospital in Southampton. My surgeon was Mr James Kirkby-Bott and the procedure was booked through the Hampshire Hernia Clinic. I found Mr Kirkby-Bott to be a very pleasant and caring individual, who was professional at all times and actually listened to you. My treatment was first class from start to finish and I am now well on the road to full recovery. I took the route of a private operation, as I am the full-time carer for my wife, who is on end of life care and I needed to get back to full health, as fast as possible, to continue caring for her while she is still here. Under the NHS, I was told I would have to wait at least two to four years for this operation. I am very pleased with the outcome and would highly recommend Mr Kirkby-Bott to anyone seeking a trusted medical professional, who's skill, care and dedication are second to none. He is a credit to the medical profession and we are lucky to have competant individuals like him.
