Having suffered since I was 50 with Arthritis in BOTH knees my GP finally after years of medication suggested I apply for replacement surgery. I was unable to walk more than 2 miles or stand for any amount of time without being in pain. The medication was addictive and stopped me working effectively, and I could not leave the house without taking the tablets. After consultation with Mr Hutchinson he agreed to replace my right knee in October 2016. He advised me to wait until I felt the other one needed replacement, this I did and at my last follow up appointment with Mr Hutchinson he recommended me to have the Left knee replacement (April 2019). Mr Hutchinson is extremely professional and instils a confidence about his work. He is a specialist in his field and you know your life is in good hands, I cannot thank Mr Hutchinson enough. The team at the Nuffield are excellent and my recovery has been brilliant. 9 weeks on and my advice to anyone who is contemplating the operation, you MUST to be willing to do the physio daily and keep moving and walking and sometimes pushing through pain to achieve the end result and Mr Hutchinson must do your operation.
