just 4 weeks and walking 1 1/2 miles also on rowing machine for 2k easy rows and pain free. Can now get to 75 deg bend after exercise has loosend up .

I have previously had both hips replaced by a different consultant. Unfortunately the last procedure wasn't completely successful and required a revision shortly after.
I was referred to Mr Gibbs for this to be carried out. Mr Gibbs was brilliant and everything went well. I was able to walk on my hip only an hour after leaving recovery. My recovery has been far less painful this time round and my mobility has returned a lot quicker.
If you are unfortunate enough to require a hip replacement, I can thoroughly recommend Mr Gibbs.

Mr Gibbs completed a total hip replacement for me following years of treatment for knee and hip issues. Being a younger patient and concerned about the process, he calmly reassured me that I would regain my life and be able to engage in all the physical activities I wished to participate in. The surgery was very straightforward and recovery has thus far been fantastic. Mr James Gibbs MB BS, Msc, FRCS (Tr & Orth) is a Specialist Consultant in Orthopaedics & Trauma in Surrey and Sussex specialising in hip, knee and sports injury conditions. He is one of the region’s leading Robotic Surgery experts and is an invited speaker in the field.
He regularly manages hip and knee conditions along with sports injuries. He performs above average numbers of hip and knee replacements including Robotic surgery, partial knee replacement and hip resurfacing. He is also a specialist in redo joint replacement surgery. He also performs key-hole surgery and ligament reconstruction for soft tissue and sports injuries. He has an interest in joint preservation treatments for arthritis such as visco-supplementation and corrective osteotomy surgery.
He has been an NHS Consultant at Brighton & Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust since 2011.
