Mr Carmichael diagnosed and treated a rare injury I suffered to my big toe while out running. I am a keen runner and the injury left me unable to run with the possibility I may never run again. This was unbearable for me and he was very understanding of that. Mr Carmichael was interested to know about the running I did and carefully considered what treatment would be best for me. Joint fusion surgery to my big toe was decided which Mr Carmichael performed a year ago. It was totally successful and with all the advice he gave I have made a full recovery. I am back running and have already done several 10k races. Mr Carmichael has given me my life back and I will be eternally grateful to him. The support and guidance Mr Carmichael gave made a difficult time for me easier to get through than I could ever have imagined. Mr Carmichael is a genuinely nice person, friendly and easy to talk to. He answered all the questions I had and explained all the decisions he made. I had total confidence in him and always came away from my consultations feeling positive, from start to finish he was outstanding. It is clear Mr Carmichael is passionate about giving great care to his patients and I would highly recommend him.
