After being diagnosed with sesamoiditis in 2019 and trying everything ranging from several steroid injections to custom made orthotics, and still in a great deal of pain , I was finally referred to dr Carmichael in march 2021. After an Mri and X-ray and taking into account the previous treatments, we decided together that it would be beneficial to have a sesamoidectomy.He talked me through what would happen during the procedure and aftercare and was more than happy to listen to any concerns and answer any questions I had. On the day of the operation I was anxious but my mind was put at rest by mr Carmichael and the great staff at the fitzwilliam. The foot healed much faster than I expected and the scar was very neat and tidy , I was back up and about after 6 weeks and back to work full time within 3 months. I was discharged from mr Carmichaels care today , and I can not recommend this surgeon highly enough and I’m so thankful, he helped me rid the pain I was in .
