I broke my right clavicle. I was referred to Mr Polyzois who immediately diagnosed a ‘non-union’ and recommended an operation which was a Open reduction internal fixation to complex mid shaft non union of right clavicle fracture. The operation went well and the plate fitted with 6 screws is working well. I have also developed a ‘frozen shoulder’, which is common after a trauma to the clavicle. Mr Polyzois recommended that I see a colleague for a ultrasound guided hydrodilatation which certainly helped. I am now undergoing physio to improve further the movement of my shoulder. I was due to have another procedure called a arthroscopic capsular release, however, due to the success of my physio exercises the day before my operation, Mr Polyzois was happy to cancel it. This was amazing news and demonstrates the importance of the patients health that Mr Polyzois considers before finalising a decision whether to go ahead or not with a procedure. We discussed the short term and long term pros and cons of going ahead and came to the decision together not to. Mr Polyzois has been professional, caring and personable at each and every appointment. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM.
