From the bottom of my heart Mr Henry Atkinson is the best thing that has happened in my life, and I am forever grateful to be under care of such a great man who has restored my health on so many different levels. Here is my story.... I was born with clubfoot (Talipes) and have struggled all my life from doing the basics in life. From operations to appointments till the age of 16. My care wasn't the best as I was seen by various doctors, medical students, at times I felt like I was a social experiment that was waiting to be trialed for experimentation. I was soon discharged from my local hospital as I had to be transferred to the adults department due to turning 16. Since then I had no contact with anyone from my local hospital for 6 years and thought to myself I guess this is what has been destined for me. Shortly after turning 22 I receive a call from my local hospital informing me they had found me an alternative as I was currently on their waiting list for another 2 years. I jumped straight away to this opportunity. It was then i came across My Atkinson. Shortly after I had my first meeting with Mr Atkinson, within 3 months I had MRI scans, Cat Scans X-rays and a plan of action. I had my pre assessment and he carried out my operations which was a success. Though it was the start of my patient to treatment journey Mr Atkinson helped me and gave me a reason to live. I have since been under Mr Atkinson's care and have had further treatments done till this day (Now 25). His level of care is exceptional and is really compassionate. He is a massive part of the NHS and I am forever grateful to the trust for having such amazing person on the task-force. Because of Mr Atkinson I no longer have to worry how my day will start, as prior to meeting him my day would end moments after getting out due to the extreme pains that was occurring. Mr Atkinson is considered as part of my family! And I hope to see him at my wedding walking down the aisle :) Mohammed (Special Case)
