I am a patient and I am also a GP. I do a lot of yoga and also go on walking holidays. I have seen Mr Atkinson both about a hammer toe and a cartilage tear in my knee. One episode was with the NHS and one privately. Mr Atkinson takes a good history and forms his own opinion but also listens to the concerns of the patient and does not try to push any particular course of action. He is enthusiastic and up to date and creative with ideas but always realistic and tailors advice according to the patient's situation and perspective. He is also very approachable, a good communicator and very helpful. He operated on my foot and my knee, both times efficiently and with successful outcomes. I have continued to do a lot of yoga and recently went on a 200 km mountain trek in Crete. I would highly recommend Mr Atkinson and I cannot make any suggestion for improvement.
