I want to say thank you for the time, effort and care that was shown to me, I never felt rushed, never felt like I was just the next person along. Having the chance to ask what I wanted and discuss my concerns was very much appreciated. For something that caused me quite some consternation, I am very grateful for the care received. I am not sure how you could really better things, but I would not change the current approach. Personally, I think it's spot on. Thank you Al Tuck

Mr Spink has looked after me for the last 6 years and I have found him to be very kind and caring with a very approachable attitude and a great listener. Mr Spink performed surgery on my spine and put me at ease in terms of what needed to be done and explained fully what to expect. Nothing was too much trouble and since my surgery he has continued to look after me and suggest ways in which I can improve with alternative treatment - physiotherapy etc. A truly wonderful man with a great team working alongside him.

Mr Spink carried out complicated neurosurgery on my spine to relieve compression on my spinal chord in 2013. Both his & his teams handling of the whole procedure was excellent & the opoeration was a total success. I now have similar symptoms on a different vertabrae/disc. & now require a more complicated operation to remove compression, fuse discs & attach metal plates, rods & screws. Mr Spink explained this to my wife & I very clearly & thoroughly detailing all the risks & options available. I will be going ahead with the operation & have every faith in Mr Spink & his teams ability to carry this out successfully.

Mr Spink (George) is a truly wonderfull man, he is refreshingly clear and truthfull about the treatment that you require, I say this because of his bespoke approach to his patients. I fully understood, after our first meeting at long last, what was wrong with my spine, where it was, and the various ways it could be treat. No pressure at all about waiting lists etc, I was pencilled in for the procedure and given time to think and call him to say yea or nae. The task was undertaken at Castle Hill at Hull, the staff at same were exemplary, nothing was any trouble to them, brilliant. The operation a P.L.I.F. (posterior lumber interbody fusion) made me very nervous, but the team relaxed me, a very understanding prep team, and bingo wake up seven hours later in another body, well that's how it felt, no pain, no numbness, wow. Here I am 3/4 months later feeling absolutely great, George has a great team around him but he is the man. If other consultants treat patients as he does, with the understanding he has, his ley terms, bespoke drawings the full package we would all be a whole lot happier. I have just passed my 64th birthday, I am working full time, with no restrictions of movement, NO pain, and a whole lot of gratitude to Mr George Spink.
