My care from Mr Spink HAS BEEN exceptional - pre, intra and post op care were all EXCELLENT. Nothing is too much trouble for this excellent neurosurgeon. As a nurse, I would personally recommend him wholeheartedly. He is humane, caring and his bedside manner cannot be faulted. His follow-up care goes the extra mile and as a nurse of 35 years - it boosts my morale, as far as the NHS is concerned. NO CONCERNS WHATSOEVER FOLLOWING COMPLEX MAJOR NEUROSURGERY.

I went for my first consultation with Mr Spink at 2.30 yesterday at York Nuffield. I received the most amazing care. I've been struggling with severe lower back pain. I saw Mr Spink who was incredibly professional, calming and reassuring. The staff at Nuffield managed to arrange an MRI for the same day and they took such amazing care of me. Mr Spink then rang me at 6pm with a clear diagnosis and options for treatment. Surgery is booked for next week. I could not have asked for more attentive or fast assistance. WOW!

I visited Dr Spink on Tuesday 23rd May. He greeted me with a friendly handshake and smile which was comforting. It wasn't the news I was expecting yet all whilst I was with Dr Spink he did make me feel as ease with his caring nature. All my questions were answered in great detail and felt comfortable knowing he had given me his e mail address if I wish to contact him regarding any further information.

after suffering back pain and sciatica for 20 years and having private physio care for just as long, i finally decided to inquire into having surgery done, i waited for a mri scan and waited to see a consultant then waited my turn on the waiting list, i had my operation done a lumbar nerve root decompression for foraminal stenosis on March 28th its now May 23rd and i am almost 100% recovered, since i woke up from the operation my sciatica pain had totally dissipated, i cannot praise consultant mr George Spink enough his care and skill and manner have been excellent.
