Underwent surgery in November 2018 for lumbar decompression in the care of Mr.Spink and his team. From first consultation , through surgery to recovery Mr.Spink and all of his team have been nothing short of excellent. Making the decision to have any surgery is scary. Mr.Spink both helped put my mind at ease and that of my wife. No two journeys are the same , but rest assured Mr.Spink will always have your best interests at heart. A true credit to his profession. I must also mention the care received from the ward nurses. They were second to none , including after discharge when we had to contact the ward with questions. All in all if you find yourself unfortunate enough to require care , take solace in that under Mr.Spink and his team you will receive excellent care.

Mr George Spink has given me back my life! I am a very active person but all that stopped on 8th April 2018, I was unable to walk only getting relief when laid flat. Mr Spink performed my surgery in November 2018 and on 10th January 2019 I was officially discharged. Today is my first day back at netball. I walked for 5 miles last week and I will be back playing in our ukelele band, at my dance class, fitness classes, my entertainment group and choir next week. So I will finish as I started - Mr George Spink has given me back my life!

Admitted to Hull by Air Ambulance following a fall which resulted in a broken neck. Initial problems with care in A&E and the ward but as soon as Mr Spink became involved, the extent of the injuries were finally identified and the care could not have been better. From the Ward Sister Claire on Ward 4 and her support staff through to Mr Spink the care was exceptional. Mr Spink clearly cares about his patients and did his utmost to explain the operation and procedures. Any concerns were dealt with compassionately and with great care. Honest, genuine responses. I cannot fault his professionalism and that of his team supporting him. A potentially life changing operation made easier to bear with his kindness and the on-going care of Ward 4 and Pinderfields Hospital. Huge thanks to all involved as words cannot express how deeply grateful I am for their magnificent work.

Mr Spink operated on my cervical spine and did a fantastic job. However had recurrence of some symptoms and was referred back to him. The surgery he performed was successful but Mr Spink is taking my concerns further and is trying to eliminate reasons why I still have some discomfort. I cannot fault him and his care and attention all the way from my 1st diagnosis

This man is a true gentleman. A very kind man who actually listens and cares for his patients. Nothing is too much trouble. He has a very sympathetic ear and easily puts your mind at ease. I always feel completely confident with his advice and trust his judgement utterly. I would recommend anyone to see Mr Spink if they are concerned at all. He never rushes through his appointment with you and makes you feel like you are the most important person in the world during his consultation.
